You can show your Blog in a Google search for free. The only thing you need to work on is helping Google to find your blog.

What is a sitemap for Blogger?

A sitemap is an XML file that contains the URLs inside your blog. This file helps crawlers to find all of the URLs of your blog. There are many aspects of your site that a crawler will follow, such as the size of your sitemap and the number of URLs in your sitemap. In short, a sitemap is a complete index of your blog that you want search engine bots to see

When we submit a sitemap to Google, we do so using the Search console tool. Assuming that you have already verified your site in Google search console and that you have logged in to your webmaster tool dashboard here.

you have your sitemap link ready to go. If you have used an offline tool to generate your sitemap, upload it to the root of your site like this: /sitemap.xml

On-page SEO practices for Newbie Bloggers

Blogging Ride bring you how to Do ON Page SEO. Seo stands for search engine optimization. It means applying that techniques, that will help you to rank more higher and higher in SERPS (search engine result pages).
Basic on-page seo is not difficult, and if you are a newbie you can easily learn all of the basic onpage seo from this post. Here i am going to share some of the basic practices that would improve your on-site search engine optimization.
On-page SEO practices for Newbie Bloggers

If SEO word in new to you, then there are two main branches of seo. One is called on-page seo and another is called off-page seo.

On-pag with e seo includes all that things that you do on your site to make it of more quality in eyes of google and other search engines.
Basic on-page seo techniques:

Blog Keyword and its proper use:

Any seo campaign start with keyword research. Indeed keyword research is the back bone of SEO. So, before writing any post, you should have done keyword research or should have proper keywords in your mind that you would be trying to rank for.

First of all i would suggest to do keyword research and find one main keyword that you would be going to use in your post.

If you don’t know how to do keyword research, then read in our Next Post

If you don’t want to do keyword research, then still you should have some main keyword in your mind because on-page optimization is not possible if you don’t have any keyword.

After finding your keyword, you should use them in the following places.

1. Title tag:

The first and foremost place where you should use your keyword is title tag. You should add your main keyword plus some helping words.

You should not only optimize your title for search engines by using keywords but you should also optimize it for humans by making it more attractive. Because if it is not optimized for humans, then few people will click on it and its CTR (click through rate) will decrease and its ranking in SERPS will also decrease.

2. H1, h1 and h3 heading:

Using your keyword in your heading is also very important for ranking. But the most important is h1 heading, but if you also use it in h2 naturally then it will definitely help.

It is better to use long tail keywords in h1 heading because it will increase your chances for ranking for some more keywords as well.

3. Keyword in content:

Now a days you should write you content more naturally and should use keyword as less as possible. You should use then only few times.

Use it one time in first paragraph and one time in last paragraph. The keyword density should not exceed 2 percent. But if your post length is more means if it is more than 500 words then using it less than 1 percent would be more natural and would be more beneficial.

4. Meta description and alt tag in images:

Using keyword is alt tag of your image is much more important because you can also get a lot of traffic from google images if your image is ranking at the first place. Therefore, you must use your keyword in alt tag.

Meta description is not that much important but writing an attractive meta description with your keyword can increase you CTR in SERPS and high CTR will indirectly push your page above in google.

Using these on-page seo practices, you can easily rank in google if you keywords has less competition. Because, i myself have ranked many pages only with on-page seo as the competition of my keywords are very low and do not need backlinks for ranking. You can do the same by learning keyword research from the link above and using on-page seo techniques listed in this page.
